What is car wrap and what are its benefits?

How do you wrap a car? This is a question you may wonder about when you want to get into the business of full wraps. Wrapping a car is the process of applying a film to all or part of your vehicle, for a variety of purposes. You may simply want to change the colour of your car, or cover a paint finish that has aged… The best way to do this is to apply a self-adhesive film to your vehicle. When we talk about wrapping a vehicle, it is generally with the aim of improving its appearance and/or protecting it. A full wrap can give astonishing results as the possibilities are so vast. Our self-adhesive films are easy to install and will make your car unique. In addition, they protect the paintwork from the elements and UV rays, amongst other things. What tools do you need to make a wrap?

To achieve the perfect wrap, certain tools are mandatory:

  • One or several squeegees (SHAGMITCH, SHAGPAM…)
  • A box knife (SHAGKNIFE) plus blades
  • Cutting thread
  • One pair of gloves
  • A surface cleaner
  • A thermometer
  • One heat gun
  • A vaporiser

These are the main tools you will need to apply self-adhesive film as a wrap. You can find them in our shop.
