On Thursday 7 January, 2021, the regional prefect Etienne Guyot went to Frontignan accompanied by the prefect of Hérault Jacques Witkowski, the mayor of Frontignan La Peyrade Michel Arrouy and the president of Sète Agglopôle Méditerranée François Commeinhes to visit the company HEXIS and hand over the “France Relance” sign to the directors of the company, Caroline and Clément Mateu.

As part of the deployment of the “France Relance” plan presented by the Prime Minister on 3 September, 2020, Etienne Guyot, Prefect of the Occitanie Region, and Carole Delga, President of the Occitanie/Pyrénées-Méditerranée Region, have provided support to several regional companies winners of the industrial investment acceleration fund in the territories.

This support fund is continuing its momentum and makes it possible to accelerate the realization of strategic industrial investments, in particular in the Industrial Territories, around the development of promising activities.

The project proposed by HEXIS as part of the France Relance program involves the modernization and extension of its production site based in Frontignan with the construction and development of two production entities in order to improve the management of internal flows as well as as the safety and working conditions of employees.

“I would like to congratulate the HEXIS company, which won the call for projects and will be able to develop in its territory,” declared Étienne Guyot.

The only French manufacturer in this field, the company HEXIS, winner of this support fund, has initiated collaborative work with the State services, Sète Agglopôle Méditerranée, the town hall of Frontignan, the BPI and the Banque de France, which will start in 2021 since all authorizations have been obtained (prefectural decree and building permit).

“Economic development being one of the municipal priorities, I would like to thank in particular the presence of the regional prefect, prefect of Haute-Garonne, and the prefect of Hérault, who demonstrates the State’s concern for our territory, as well as the President of the Board of Directors of HEXIS for the work accomplished and her concern to continue to develop the company in our municipality ”, underlined Michel Arrouy.

At the same time, the municipality of Frontignan and Sète Agglopôle are developing a partnership in order to allow HEXIS to grow and continue to be productive and competitive.

In the long term, and in the years to come, these partnerships will create some 30 jobs.
